Cancellation Policy

To secure your place, a non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking. The remaining balance is due by the specified date in your confirmation, unless a flexible instalment plan has been agreed upon. Please ensure all scheduled payments are made on time to guarantee your place on the retreat.

Please notify Zami Collective with more than 120 days notice of the trip to receive a 50% refund of payments made to Zami Collective (minus non-refundable deposit) due to non-recoverable costs incurred with suppliers. Any permitted refunds will incur a 3% processing fee. Any cancellations after this period are non-refundable. All deposits are non-refundable. Refunds will not be provided for no-shows, late arrivals, or early departures from the retreat. All packages are non-transferable. Zami Collective reserves the right to accept or reject any request for cancellation and refunds at any time without liability, and in the event it determines, in its sole and exclusive discretion.

We are a small, mission-led collective that works closely with the local economy and communities in Kenya and Ethiopia. Many retreat expenses are prepaid and non-recoverable. This cancellation policy helps us continue offering regenerative experiences.

Force Majeure Disclaimer

In the event of unforeseen circumstances beyond the supplier’s control, including but not limited to natural disasters, government restrictions, or other acts of God, the supplier shall not be held liable for any disruptions or cancellations of the retreat. Zami Collective is not responsible for your expenses incurred in preparation for any cancelled retreat such as airline tickets, loss of work, and/or other costs associated. Deposits paid by attendees are non-refundable under such circumstances. Where, possible, we will assess the feasibility of issuing a refund, minus any non-recoverable third-party costs already incurred.This disclaimer shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

Insurance and liability

In the unlikely event that this trip has to be cancelled or rescheduled due to extraordinary travel circumstances such as security travel warnings, Zami Collective will not be held responsible for the impact of such changes on individual travel arrangements. Personal travel and health insurance that cover medical care are compulsory for participants to join our retreats and we advise you to book insurance at the time of booking to ensure that any disruptions are covered. We will not be liable for any loss, damage, injury, or illness incurred during the retreat. Participants are responsible for their own possessions and should take appropriate safeguarding precautions.

Sole Discretion

Zami Collective reserves the right to exercise discretion and make any changes deemed necessary, including, but not limited to: advertised travel routes, accommodation, excursions, arranged transportation, advertised meals, rooms, etc. Zami Collective reserves the right to accept or reject any request for cancellation and refunds at any time without liability, and in the event it determines, in its sole and exclusive discretion.

You confirm that you understand all of the above terms and conditions and accept this at the time of booking. This policy is governed by and construed under the laws of England and Wales.
